Abeer Ayyoub
Abeer Ayyoub, a Gaza native, holds a BA in English Literature from the Islamic University of Gaza. Starting as a stringer and translator for international journalists, she pursued her dream of becoming an independent journalist. Abeer's journey led her to write for prominent media outlets like Al-Jazeera English, Al-Monitor, and Ha'aretz. She also contributed her skills to human rights advocacy as a researcher at Gisha LCFM, an Israeli group focused on Gaza's freedom of movement. Abeer's exceptional talent was recognized when she became the first recipient of the Richard Beeston Bursary from the Times newspaper in 2015, and she completed fellowships at both the Times' London office and Der Spiegel's main headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.
